Our Technologies-

- In House Exchange system with Spam firewalls. Exchange houses our Contact Management, Blackberry and E-Mail system. We process 800 e-mails a week (not junk e-mail) currently (3-2009). Our depts. have emails along with our emergency systems etc. We can also create emails for supers and board members who need communication and do not want to mix personal e-mail with the buildings business
- In House Document Management. In an effort to go Green, All Area has converted all Faxes to email, All Offering plans to electronic format, Proposals, monthly bills, tenant communication and basically anything that can be scanned is all stored electronically on our Dell Enterprise 2950 Servers. We also grant owners and boards along with attorneys and accountants access through the website to the files they need. We scan all documents so that boards can review documentation online or by e-mail. In addition, electronic document management allows for future research to old documents such as proposals, Supt resumes or permits/contracts. This eliminates paper while effectively increasing productivity. Our Document Management is with Xerox and Fujitsu Scanners. We have both Personal and LAN scanning abilities.
- Remote Access. All Area Property Managers and Agents have remote capabilities so they may be able to work offsite effectively. This works very well with Buildings that have set office hours and the agent will need access to accounting software etc.
- Large Disk Space and Growth. All Area has over 10 TB of disk space for our paperless office. You name it, we have it in electronic format
- Network Security. The entire All Area Network is behind Enterprise Class Firewalls with the latest technology and software releases (We do not mention the kind of firewalls as that would be a security risk itself). We detect anomalies and report with SNMP and e-mail alerts back to the Tech Group. We track all incoming and outgoing activity. Our network connections are hidden, and closed. Yes, we have seen people try to break in (Probably our competition) but no attacks have been successful.
- Backups. Mutli-floor replication and offsite backups. Our Accounting software is on a multi-tier cluster across the United States. Our Application vendor supports that and we cannot disclose any more information. Our Files, e-mails, scanned documents and other misc files are stored on multiple servers at the Main Head Quarters (99 Tulip Ave) with backups on two different floors and Backups stored offsite.
- Servers. Yes, we actually have servers, with redundant CPU's, Power Supplies, Memory Chips, SCSI Raid V arrays and on multiple LAN Managed 2200 UPS's. We have seen our competitions technology on home built PC's that act like servers. I would like to say, those are not servers- Gary Andriotis
- Anti-Virus. Few people realize how important it is to have Anti-Virus. We run it on all our PC's and servers along with other security measures.
